Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Perenne (hereinafter "the App") is developed and published by HabitFlow Corp (hereinafter "we", "us", "the Publisher").

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why, how it is protected, and what rights you have over it, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU 2016/679).

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Authentication data

When you first use the App, an anonymous account is automatically created via Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). It is identified only by a technical identifier (UID), with no personal data attached.

If you choose to link your Google account, we then collect your Google email address and display name, which are necessary to recover your account on a new device.

2.2 Usage data (Firestore)

The following data is stored in our database (Firebase Firestore):

This data is never sold or used for advertising purposes.

2.3 Performance and diagnostic data (Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics)

Firebase Analytics collects pseudonymised usage events (e.g. habit completion) to improve the App. Firebase Crashlytics collects technical crash reports (device type, Android version, stack trace).

You can disable Analytics in your Android device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

2.4 Configuration data (Firebase Remote Config)

We use Firebase Remote Config to remotely adjust certain App parameters. No personal data is collected in this context.

2.5 Subscription data (RevenueCat / Google Play)

Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat, Inc. via Google Play Billing. RevenueCat receives an anonymised purchase identifier and subscription status. We have no access to payment information.

2.6 Local notifications

The reminders you set up are local notifications stored only on your device. No notification data is sent to our servers.

2.7 Companion — generation by artificial intelligence (premium subscribers)

If you are a premium subscriber, the App generates a daily Companion message as well as observations during the weekly review. These texts are produced by a generative artificial intelligence model from Google (Firebase AI Logic service, Gemini model).

What is sent to the model, as aggregated statistics:

What is never sent: the content of your journal, your personal notes, your letters, your name, your email address, or any account identifier. The model receives only figures and the names you gave your habits.

⚠️ Your habit titles are free text that you write, and they are sent to the model. If you would rather keep sensitive information (health, beliefs, private life) on your device, avoid putting it in a habit's title — a neutral wording is all the App needs.

Frequency: at most one generation per day for the Companion message, plus one on request when you open the weekly review. The result is stored on your device for the day, so that nothing is transmitted repeatedly.

No automated decision-making: the model produces a text of encouragement. It makes no decision producing legal effects or similarly significantly affecting you, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR. If generation fails, the App shows a generic pre-written message.

7. Children's Data

The App is intended for persons aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Please contact us if your child has created an account by mistake.

8. Security

Data is transmitted via HTTPS/TLS and stored on Firebase's secure servers. Firestore security rules ensure that a user can only access their own data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy at any time. In the event of a material change, you will be notified within the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance. The French version is authoritative.
